What is madapolam?
It was first created by Indian weavers in the place after which it was named. In the hot climate of India, the natural and hygroscopic fabric quickly gained popularity and already in the 18th century began to be produced in Europe and Russia.
Madapolam resembles the well-known chintz, but unlike the most common printed chintz, this material is usually white or painted in pastel colors. Printed dyeing is also found, but rarely.
The weaving threads in madapolam are thicker than in chintz, which gives the fabric a density of 80 to 105 g/m2.
Production
The production of madapolam is exclusively environmentally friendly, the fabric is created from plant materials without the use of aggressive chemicals.
