Slimes were invented in America back in the 70s. Fluffy slime is an anti-stress toy in the form of a viscous colored mass with a pleasant smell, which is pleasant to knead with your fingers. This slime differs from other slimes in that it necessarily contains foam, so it has a more lush and airy consistency, and it is more pleasant to hold in your hands. If you stretch a piece of fluffy slime into a long strip, it forms not a thin film, like a regular slime, but a dense opaque ribbon.

There are many recipes for making air slime more beautiful and original: if you add foam balls to the mass when creating it, then, in addition to the "signature" squelching, the toy will also make a pleasant crunch. Depending on the ingredients included in the composition, the slime can be made uniform, bubbly, shiny, add beads, various balls or small glitter to it. If desired, you can make a multi-colored slime: marble, striped, purple or even a three-color slime in the color of the Russian flag.

To ensure that the toy retains its original appearance for a long time, you should follow simple rules for its use:

• Keep the slime away from dust and dirty surfaces. Dirty slime looks untidy and is harder to mold. Wash the dirty toy under warm water without using detergents.
• The slime should be protected from strong impacts; if you throw it with all your might at the floor or wall, you can irreparably damage its texture.
• If you don’t touch the slime for a long time, it will shrink and lose its elastic properties, but if you play with it constantly, the toy will absorb dirt, dust and sweat, and will noticeably decrease in size.

How to Make Fluffy Slime at Home

Nowadays, there is a wide range of different hand chewing gums in stores, but airy slime made with your own hands will stand out from them with its original color, texture and smell. A unique toy will be a reason for a child to be proud of his friends, and the process of creating homemade slime together with parents can become the best pastime.

Fluffy slime from store bought slimes

Turning ordinary store-bought slime into a quality slime that is pleasant to the touch, stretches without breaking and makes the most “correct” squelching sounds is a completely realistic task if you strictly follow the proportions of the ingredients.

Add to purchased slime:

• 2-3 teaspoons of toothpaste;
• 1.5 tbsp. office glue;
• dye and filling – optional.

Method of preparation:

1. Mix the slime with toothpaste. This is not an easy task - at first you will have to make an effort, but gradually the mass will become more liquid due to the effect of toothpaste, and it will be much easier to mix the future slime until it is homogeneous.
2. Add office glue to the container with the resulting mass and mix until the slime becomes thick again and stops sticking to the sides of the container.
3. The resulting mass is taken out of the container and continues to be stirred manually, crushing all lumps and irregularities with your fingers.
4. If the slime cannot be given the desired structure, then it is placed in a container with a tightly closing lid for one night so that the toy acquires the necessary elasticity.

With shower gel

Compound:

• 1 teaspoon of any shower gel;
• 1 tsp. dishwashing liquid (preferably Fairy);
• 1 teaspoon water;
• a pinch of soda;
• 2 tsp tooth powder;
• neon glitter gels;
• contact lens fluid – depending on consistency.

The order of actions for manufacturing:

1. Place shower gel, dishwashing liquid and water in a plastic container, close the lid tightly and shake for about 7 minutes until thick foam is obtained.
2. Add soda to the resulting mixture, stir and add tooth powder.
3. Mix the mixture until smooth, add dyes and thicken with lens fluid to the required consistency.
4. The finished mixture is left in the refrigerator for several hours.

With shampoo

Ingredients:

• 12 tbsp shaving foam;
• a pea of ​​toothpaste;
• half a teaspoon of any shampoo;
• half a teaspoon of hand cream;
• 100 ml PVA glue.

This version of fluffy slime does not use a thickener, so to get the desired texture, the mixture is kneaded by hand for a long time.

Mix shaving foam and PVA glue until smooth, add shampoo. Mix well and pour hand cream into the mixture. Next, add toothpaste and mix the slime with a spoon or plastic spatula. Knead the slime with your hands until it loses its stickiness.

With starch and plasticine

Compound:

• 3 tbsp shaving foam;
• 3 tbsp. of any shampoo;
• 3 tbsp cornstarch;
• 1 packet of air-filled plasticine.

The airy plasticine is thoroughly mixed with shaving foam in a plastic or porcelain container of a suitable size. Shampoo is added to the resulting mass. As soon as the mixture begins to acquire a uniform structure, starch is poured in. When the liquid ingredients are absorbed, the future slime is taken in hands and kneaded to the desired consistency. Depending on the color of the shampoo and shaving foam, you can get a colored toy without using additional food or chemical dyes.

Without glue

To make slime without glue you will need:

• 3 tbsp shaving foam;
• 1 bottle of gel soap bubbles;
• 1 tsp shampoo;
• 3 drops of sodium tetraborate;
• dye.

Pour the shampoo (it is advisable to take the thickest possible one) into a bowl and beat until bubbles appear. Add the dye and shaving foam and beat again until smooth. Pour in the entire package of gel bubbles, mix well and gradually add tetraborate. Knead the mass until it begins to curdle, then knead thoroughly with your hands.

Without glue from the mask-film

Compound:

• 30 ml of cosmetic film mask;
• 0.5 glass of water;
• 30 ml bath foam;
• 1 teaspoon toothpaste;
• 1 tsp. soda;
• 1 tsp liquid soap;
• 1 tbsp. lens solution.

Place the peel-off mask in a container, drip dye on top and set aside for a while. Pour water, toothpaste, liquid soap and foam into a container with a lid or a regular plastic bottle. Close the container and shake until all the components combine into a uniform foam. Pour the resulting foam into the container with the peel-off mask and dye and stir until a uniform color is obtained. Add lens solution and 0.5 tsp of soda to the mixture, stir and pour in the remaining soda. Stir the mass until it begins to peel off the sides of the container, take it out and knead the slime with your hands until the final consistency is achieved.

Classic Slime with Foam

To create the toy you will need:

• 50 ml of water;
• 75 ml of PVA glue (Elmer's glue is best for slimes);
• 1.5 tbsp. of lens solution, which must contain sodium tetraborate or boric acid;
• 2 cups of shaving foam;
• 1 tsp. soda;
• food coloring of the desired color (even Easter egg dye will do).

Pour glue into a plastic container, add soda, pour in 50 ml of water and mix thoroughly. Add shaving foam and dye, mix again. Little by little add lens solution, achieving a uniform consistency. If the toy will stick fingers, you can additionally add a little more solution.

Without tetraborate with Naphthyzinum

To make slime you will need:

• Naphthyzinum;
• water;
• shower gel;
• toothpaste
• stationery glue with glitter or regular glue with added glitter;
• soda;
• container with a tight-fitting lid.

Pour shower gel and a little water into the container, add toothpaste. Close the container and shake it vigorously for 5-10 minutes until a dense foam with small bubbles forms. Periodically open the container and check the condition of the resulting mass: if the bubbles in the foam are still large, close the lid again and continue stirring. Add office glue and glitter to the finished foam, stir until the glitter is evenly distributed and add a little soda. Thicken the mixture with Naphthyzinum, adding it little by little and checking the resulting density. Put the mixture on the table and knead by hand. Fluffy slime according to this recipe turns out very airy and elastic.

With tetraborate and office glue

Ingredients:

• 100 ml glue;
• 6 tbsp shaving foam;
• 2 tbsp thick shampoo;
• 1 tsp. soda;
• 1 glass of water;
• sodium tetraborate.

Dissolve soda in water. Mix shampoo, glue and foam in a separate container, gradually add soda-salt solution. Add a couple of drops of activator to thicken the mass, mix and knead by hand.

Slime from shaving foam and glue

Compound:

• 125 ml of PVA glue (you can use Luch glue);
• 700 ml shaving foam;
• 2-3 drops of boric acid;
• dye.

In a dry plastic bowl, mix PVA and shaving foam, add the desired dye and boric acid. Mix thoroughly. When the future slime loses its stickiness, remove the mass from the bowl and knead it in your palms.

Without glue, but with sodium tetraborate and ice water

Compound:

• sodium tetraborate;
• ice water;
• ice cubes.

The slime made according to this recipe does not “live” for long, until the ice melts. But despite its short life, it turns out to be a pleasant, refreshing toy in the heat and easy to make. Precise proportions are not needed when making an ice smiley, the thickness and structure are determined by eye and regulated by tetraborate.

Place the mixing container in the refrigerator, take it out after 20 minutes and pour ice water into it. Add ice cubes and sodium tetraborate. Mix quickly so that the ice does not have time to melt.

With shaving foam and silicate glue

Ingredients:

• 100 ml silicate glue;
• 6 tbsp shaving foam;
• 1 glass of water;
• 2 tbsp thick shampoo;
• 1 tsp. soda;
• dye.

Cold water is poured into a plastic bottle, soda is added. The bottle is closed with a lid and shaken until the soda is completely dissolved. In a bowl, shaving foam, glue, shampoo and dye are mixed until smooth. The soda solution is added to the contents in small portions until a dense, homogeneous mass is obtained. Knead until ready with hands previously moistened in the solution remaining in the bottle.

Made from lightweight plasticine without thickener

Compound:

• air plasticine;
• warm water;
• 2 tsp shampoo;
• shaving foam.

Plasticine is diluted with a small amount of warm water until a kefir-like consistency is obtained. Shampoo is poured in, mixed and shaving foam is added until the desired structure is obtained. Slime made from light plasticine is tender and very airy.

Cool DIY Slime with Glitter and Balls

To make it you will need:

• 4 cups shaving cream;
• 1 cup of PVA glue;
• 0.5 tsp sodium tetraborate;
• 1 glass of cold water;
• 1/8 cup hot water;
• some lens solution;
• balls and glitter;
• dye – optional.

Tetraborate is dissolved in hot water and lens fluid is added. Cold water and PVA are mixed in a plastic container, balls and glitter are added, then shaving cream. The tetraborate solution is poured into the resulting mixture. Stir until ready.

From PVA glue and washing powder

Compound:

• 3 tbsp. washing gel;
• 3 tbsp. starch;
• 150 ml white glue;
• dyes.

Mix PVA with starch, add coloring pigment, stir. Gradually pour in washing gel and knead until the slime starts to peel off the sides of the bowl. Remove and knead by hand until completely free of stickiness.

How to Make Fluffy Slime with Toothpaste

Ingredients:

• bottle of toothpaste;
• PVA glue.

The paste is squeezed into a plastic bowl, glue is added little by little until the mass begins to thicken. Stir until the workpiece comes away from the walls of the container and put in the refrigerator. The slime should stand in the cold for about 25 minutes. After cooling, knead it with your hands until smooth.

How to store fluffy slime

If stored properly, the toy will not lose its properties for several weeks or even months. The soft cloud is best stored in a glass or plastic container with a tightly closing lid. Store-bought food containers, containers for storing small needlework supplies, or even clean and dried cosmetic or fast food packaging are suitable for this.

The most suitable temperature for storing slime is from +3 to +10 degrees. The toy retains its properties for a long time if it is kept in a dark place with moderate humidity, and direct sunlight can change the structure of the slime.

Fluffy slime is a fun and enjoyable toy that, in addition to its anti-stress and entertaining functions, can also be of real use.
