What is a banner?
Advertising products on synthetic textile canvas are represented by printed images. Canvases with advertising are called banners. Reinforced structures are placed on streets, building facades, billboards and indoors.

Which is better: fabric or PVC banners
The quality of printing is significantly affected by the composition of the material and the amount of vinyl applied to the surface.
By type of production, banner cloth is divided into cast and laminated. The latter method involves welding two layers of material, which ensures flexibility and strength of the finished product. The surface film gives the material a glossy or matte effect. Inexpensive synthetic fabric is in great demand among advertising companies. It is from it that banners for short-term advertising are most often made.
The cast manufacturing method is a process in which the mesh is filled with plastic mass and passed through special equipment to form a smooth surface. This type of material is of higher quality and more expensive. Customers prefer this material with the expectation of a long service life.
Cast fabric is several times stronger than laminated. The tensile strength indicators exceed 2-3 times. This factor affects the choice of PVC banner fabric for placing a banner outdoors. The choice of material is made depending on the place of use and purpose of the product.
Duration of operation
The service life of advertising fabric depends on the method of manufacturing the fabric.
Cast banner fabric is used for up to 7 years without the occurrence of fiber destruction processes. Laminated material will last 2-3 years and is used more often indoors than outdoors. A short service life and low cost of fabric can be useful for making a product for a short period.
The elasticity of the banner fabric is not designed for bending. The material is used in static banners unfolded on a plane. According to the manufacturer, the customer prefers to choose Japanese or Korean materials, they have practically no difference. The quality of the fabric is superior to Chinese samples.

How does printing happen?
The advertising business uses large printers and plotters to print posters and banners. If the image area is not captured sufficiently, it is printed in parts and then combined. Large-format printing on PVC fabric using special paints for outdoor or indoor use of finished products.
Be sure to select the print resolution from the standpoint of readability. At a large distance to the poster, the text and image should be larger than for a shorter distance. The best image quality is selected. Because with multiple magnification, the most inconspicuous flaws and distortions of the image will be revealed, which are not noticeable on the computer.

The designer must print a test copy of the image area to ensure color matching.
Printing machines can take up most of the space, depending on the scale of the advertising campaign. After the banner is printed, the canvas undergoes surface treatment with a protective coating, stitching or gluing of the canvas edge. If necessary, pockets with eyelets are made for further stretching of the banner on ropes.
Installation and operation
Most advertising banners are made with eyelets. These are metal rings through which a rope or cable is pulled to attach the vinyl sheet to the structure.
- The eyelets must be placed at the same distance from each other.
- Symmetrical placement of rings on opposite sides of the banner is required.
- It is enough to reinforce the edges of the fabric with wide pockets.
The reliability of the fastening of the advertising canvas will be tested by wind, precipitation, and sunlight. The initial requirement for installation is a perfectly flat surface to reduce possible deformation or fading under the influence of ultraviolet radiation.
Stretched PVC banner fabric is subject to periodic cleaning and surface washing with soft brushes, water or a high-pressure cleaner with chemical additives (if dust has penetrated deeply into the mesh structure).
