How to sew
To sew a two-layer bandeau with a lace elastic band, you need to take several types of fabric to make the lining and the outer part. Next, take an elastic band for underwear, elastic lace tape, a needle, a pin, a pencil, threads, scissors and a sewing machine.
First, you need to take measurements and create the simplest pattern. Then make a fabric cutout using the formula of chest circumference multiplied by a factor of 1.1. Then cut the elastic into 3 parts. Pin the lace tape to a piece of fabric equal to the outer side of the product. Next, sew the short outer edges and then the lining short edges. Fold several resulting fabric rings face to face. Use a sewing machine to sew a line along the fabric where the lace is attached. Then turn the resulting product inside out, fold the fabric inward along the unstitched side and carefully sew a line near the edge.
Sew a short elastic band in the center on any side. The chosen side will be the front of the product. Insert long elastic bands up and down the top, secure, stretch and go through with a zigzag stitch. Sew the remaining hole along the short edge by hand, turning the edges inward.
Please note! To make a summer bra with straps, you need to do four things. First, trace a T-shirt on paper, as fitted as possible. Then cut it out, choose a material that is similar to an elastic sample. Then fold the fabric twice and apply the pattern to the fold. Secure with pins, cut out and do not forget to make a seam allowance along the entire product and at the bottom three or four centimeters. There should be four pieces: several in front and several in the back.
Then sew the front and back on the sides, applying the pattern to the fold part to each other. Then insert one piece into the other, sew along the perimeter from the inside. Make the processing of the bottom of the top. Fold it twice at the same distance and sew with a sewing machine.
To make a simple bandeau top, take a rectangular silk or satin fabric wider than the model's shoulders and below the waist. Place the fabric on the table. Fold the top to the middle. Leave a distance of three centimeters between them. Secure the fold line with pins. Leave one centimeter from the fastener. Then sew the prepared edges. Attach an elastic band to the back of the neck and stitch. Next, fold the fabric and stitch in place from the elastic band. Then trim the bottom to the desired top length. Attach an elastic band to the bottom of the top and stitch it from the back. Make fasteners on the sides. Thread a cord through the pocket where the elastic goes.
