Firstly, they can radically change the appearance of the room, and secondly, they create an atmosphere of coziness. Incorrectly selected curtains can seriously spoil even the most attractive design. One of the modern trends is striped tulle. It not only looks stylish, but can also visually increase the width or height of the room.
Types of stripes
Striped tulle is usually chosen in the following cases:
- To visually increase the height of ceilings.
- To create the effect of greater width in the room.
- To illuminate or darken the interior if the room is dominated by dark or, conversely, too light colors.
How the tulle will fit into the interior and what function it will perform depends on the style of the stripes.
Stripes look harmonious in any interior. The main types are horizontal or vertical stripes. Depending on the direction, they can be wide or narrow, single-color or combined, inserted or sewn-in.

Therefore, they should not only look aesthetically pleasing, but also be practical, i.e. withstand frequent washing. You can choose bright colors for the kitchen that will look great. You can also consider shortened options.
Bedroom
This is a room where it is important to create an atmosphere of harmony and tranquility. You should not use bright shades, it is better to choose those that promote rest and quality sleep. It is also worth considering that the curtains should effectively darken the space so that sunlight does not interfere with wakefulness in the morning. A curtain made of thick light fabric with alternating dark stripes is suitable for the bedroom.

This room is usually a gathering place for a large number of people. Here the family gathers, friends are invited and holidays are held. Therefore, it is important to create a feeling of spaciousness for this room. Calm shades can make it boring, so it is better to choose something brighter. You just need to consider how the color of the curtains matches the decor.

- On ties. This method of fastening is considered quite universal. Ribbons are attached to the canvas, which are tied on the cornice. The denser and heavier the fabric, the thicker the ties should be. This method looks especially impressive on light natural materials of one color or with a floral print. Mesh or tulle can also be used.
- On loops. Decorative loops are sewn to the top of the curtains. They are convenient because they do not require manual tying, as in the previous case, but are simply strung on the cornice. This is one of the most common fastenings. The number of loops is determined by the weight of the curtains. The loops can be the same or different widths, and also made of the same fabric as the curtain or a different one.
- On eyelets. These are rings inserted into the fabric that slide onto the curtain rod. They can be made of metal or plastic and consist of a block and a ring. Such designs are durable and easy to use. Curtains on eyelets slide easily along the curtain rod, which allows you to create beautiful folds and also increases the wear resistance of the curtains.
- On a drawstring. Pockets are created on top of the canvas along the entire length, which are then strung on the cornice, thus the tulle is attached. The advantage of this method is maximum noiselessness when opening and closing curtains, which makes it popular for straight curtains.
- On tape. This method of fastening is simple, but looks very impressive. The top of the tulle is gathered into a drapery, which results in many beautiful folds. This is achieved by sewing cords into the tape, which are pulled together. The disadvantage of this method is the need for a large amount of fabric, that is, the reserve should be approximately twice the width of the curtain.
- On rings. A universal method for any curtains, when the rings are sewn on top and are located exclusively on the outside of the upper edge, unlike eyelets, which are inserted inside. This is the most economical mounting option.
Striped curtain fabric allows you to create unique designs, giving window openings an expressive look. They can highlight the advantages of the room, hide the disadvantages or add coziness and dynamics. The main thing is to consider all the nuances and make the right choice.
