LOL dolls, which have become very popular recently, are not affordable for everyone due to their high cost. Of course, you can buy a cheaper fake, but small children with the availability of the Internet have become smarter and will quickly figure out whether the doll in front of them is real. A great idea for mothers is to knit dolls themselves. Knitted toys are also called amigurumi, they are quite popular among children, for their manufacture you will need a few materials, and the costs in the end will be much less than the cost of store toys, several times.

Description of the toy: all dolls are made according to the same pattern

Lol (LOL Surprise!) are well-known and very popular in recent times small dolls with a small body and big heads. Their full English name is Lil Outrageous Littles, which is translated into Russian as little outrageous crumbs.

The main feature of the toy is that the dwarf plastic dolls are in a tightly packed ball. They first appeared on sale in 2016, since then these little crumbs have not lost the enthusiastic interest of girls from all over the planet.

All LOL toys can be crocheted using the same pattern. It is enough to change the colors of the threads so that the little dolls differ from each other in hair color and clothing. More experienced needlewomen can also:

• change the hairstyles of toys,
• enlarge the dress,
• knit other clothes (overalls) instead.

In the same way, you can make accessories for LOL: extra shoes, bags, interchangeable wigs with hairstyles, and even pets - unicorns.

What you need to create a toy

Knitting a product is much more pleasant, convenient and interesting if you choose a good hook and threads in advance. The size of the knitting needle depends on the thickness of the threads that you should choose - it is better that they are strong and not too thick. The more colorful the coloring, the more beautiful the finished doll will be.

In order to knit a Lol doll yourself at home, you will need the following items and materials:

• Cotton yarn (Charm) in pale brown (flesh), pink, lilac and white colors. To create a hairstyle, it is better to choose Bella yarn, its shade is selected at your discretion. To make it easier to recognize what kind of thread is meant later, in the master class (MK) presented below, let it be conditionally brown.
• Hook. For the yarn that will be used in this article, it is more convenient to work with a 2.5 mm hook.
• Filling for the insides of the toy. You can use material from old soft toys or regular cotton wool.
• To create the eyes, it is recommended to use white and blue felt, as well as plastic toy eyes for the pupils.
• Stiff wire about 3mm in diameter to hold Lol's head in place.
• A regular sewing needle.

To glue small parts and correct defects, it is worth purchasing special textile glue.

How to knit a Lol doll: knitting pattern with detailed step-by-step description

According to the description and pattern of the Lol doll crochet, each part of the body must be knitted separately. Already at the last stages of work, all the parts should be fastened together.

Hands

Both hands will need to be tied using the same pattern:

1. With a light brown thread, cast on 4 air loops and with the second one make 2 single crochets. On the opposite side, cast on 3 of the same columns. Finish with 1 single crochet and 1 increase.
2. The second row is simple - it consists of 8 simple single crochet stitches.
3. 4 single crochets, continue with 3 increases and finish with another single crochet.
4. Make 3 double crochet stitches in one loop, then make 10 single crochet stitches.
5. The next two rows are knitted the same way: 5 single crochet stitches, 2 increases and again 1 single crochet stitch.
6. For the last row, cast on 6 single crochet stitches, 1 decrease, again 1 single crochet stitch and 1 decrease, then 2 single crochet stitches.

Legs

Take a white thread and make 5 air loops, in the second of them dial 3 columns with a yarn over and repeat the same on the opposite side of the row. Add a loop, make 2 single crochet columns and 3 increases.

Take the flesh-colored yarn and cast on 16 single crochet stitches. Now with the white thread make 16 of the same stitches.

Next row: 5 single crochet stitches, then repeat one increase with a single crochet stitch three times.

Change yarn to flesh color and make 4 single crochet stitches, decrease 3 times and again 4 first stitches. Make another row with 4 single crochet stitches and 1 increase, repeat this 4 times.

Body

Take the light brown color and make 22 single crochet stitches on each of the folded legs on the back side. Then follow the following pattern:

1. 44 increases.
2. Decrease 1 time, make a single crochet 40 times and decrease 1 time again.
3. Knit 5 single crochet stitches and 1 decrease. Repeat 6 times.
4. Repeat the next 3 rows according to point 3.
5. In the following rows, decrease the number of non-yarn over stitches from 4 to 2 and decrease 1 time. Repeat 6 times until the end of the row.
6. In flesh color make 24 single crochet stitches.
7. Cast on a single crochet 4 times and decrease 1 time, do this 4 times.

Fill the inside of the piece with cotton wool, and leave the yarn longer to make it easier to sew on the head.

Cloth

To make a dress, you need to take white yarn for the top and lilac for the bottom. The diagram of the top part:

• Alternate 2 chain stitches with 4 double crochets and 1 increase. Repeat 5 times.
• The second and third rows are done in the same way, but the number of yarn over columns should decrease from 3 to 2, and the repetitions should increase to 6 and 7, respectively.
• Make 45 increases. Knit the last row with 1 chain stitch and 47 single crochets.

Knit a skirt with lilac yarn:

• Cast on 1 chain stitch, 24 increases and 1 slip stitch.
• From the second to the fifth row, knit according to the same pattern: 1 air loop, 48 yarn-overs and 1 slip stitch.
• Close the piece with 1 chain stitch, 54 slip stitches and 1 slip stitch.

Head

For the head, take light brown yarn and cast on 12 chain stitches.

Then:

1. In the second loops on each side, make 1 increase and 9 single crochet stitches.
2. 2 increases, 9 single crochets. Repeat twice and finish with 2 increases.
3. 1 single crochet and 1 increase crochet twice. Cast on 9 single crochets and repeat the previous move again, but this time 4 times.
4. Make the next row as the previous one, but increase the increase to 2.
5. Make 58 single crochet stitches.
6. Repeat 13 single crochets and 1 increase four times.
7. The next 5 rows should be knitted with only 56 single crochet stitches.
8. Repeat step 6 again.
9. Repeat point 7.
10. Repeat 3 single crochet stitches, 1 decrease and 5 chain stitches 6 times.
11. Repeat 7 single crochets and 1 decrease 6 times again.
12. Knit the next 6 rows in the same way as in point 11, but each time decrease the number of columns by 1.
13. Make 6 decreases.

Then stuff it tightly with cotton wool and insert the wire. Embroider the nose - just make a small bulge. Glue the eyes with glue, and embroider the eyelashes and eyebrows with black thread.

Hair

The hair can be tied, but it is best to sew it to the head as separate "hairs". Each thread must be carefully secured.

With such hair you can create different hairstyles, constantly changing them.

Bang

The bangs depend on how the hair was made: tied or sewn with separate threads. If desired, you can do without bangs at all, but almost all LOL dolls have bangs, so it is worth cutting them.

Bundle

The hair bun is made separately, only when knitting the hairstyle. In this case, it must be sewn to the head and the base of the hair.

However, when fastening with a thread as hair, such a measure is not required.

Bow and headband

The headband with a bow on the hair can be made in any color. First, you should dial 7 air loops, in the second of them make 6 columns without a yarn and an air loop. Make 2 more rows in the same way.

For the headband, cast on 36 chain stitches and knit 1 chain stitch and 35 non-yarn stitches in two rows. Tie a bow in the middle and attach or sew to the headband.

Ears

Knit an amigurumi ring, but do not pull it too tightly, then make 2 single crochet stitches and 1 slip stitch.

Start knitting the second row skipping the last loop. Make 2 increases and 1 slip stitch, then tighten the ring.

The second ear is also made according to this scheme.

At the end, the two parts need to be sewn to the head.
